Raw Hand is the perfect amalgamation of age-old craftsmanship found in India that is entwined within the roots of luxury. The brand brings together a curated range of tableware made by some of the country’s most promising studio potters and artisans. Our focus remains solely to bring art and creators from different parts of the country on the map. We hope to serve as a haven for those with a keen eye for decor and harbour a love for raw and naturally stunning designs. The brand is best described as a complete gamut for tableware, one that includes minimal products with glazes and subtle designs as well as maximalist designs that emanate vibrancy through bright colours.

At Raw Hand, we retail products that range from platters, dinner sets, dessert plates, tea sets and mugs made from clay stoneware and 24K  gold. The venture began when founder, Ishneet Hora Bhatia decided to undertake the responsibility to make people aware of the beauty that resides within a handmade business and the uniqueness it carries forward. The brand invests its time in curating products that showcase a balance between innovation and tradition. In addition, the brand’s long-term goals include becoming a platform that leads the domestic home décor scene.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Honing a keen eye for detail and an art lover, Ishneet Hora Bhatia is a lawyer by profession. Ishneet dabbled across the spheres of law however when the pandemic ensued her interests landed her in a situation where she wished to do something that truly engulfed her in happiness. With ambition and glimmer in her eyes, Ishneet stepped away from her law background into an unpredictable and unchartered territory of entrepreneurship with just heaps of passion to achieve her dreams.

Ishneet’s vision for Raw Hand is to help customers find a platform with products that help build their homes. Carrying a passion for age-old craftsmanship, this space is also an ode to natural ingredients nestled within nature. This venture stems from her love for homes, a passion for innovative designs, attention to detail and high-quality products with striking simplicity. Ishneet constantly strives to provide aesthetically unique experiences through pieces which create an emotional connection with customers adding joy to their lives and homes.

PROCESS OF CREATING RAW HAND PRODUCTS

Stoneware Clay – Pottery

A natural and versatile material, clay is used to make ceramic products befitting for special occasions. Clay is a natural material used to make ceramic waves. It is then kneaded and thrown on a pottery wheel, where it is shaped by hand into this product. The clay product then goes through the process of bisque firing, sanding every product to ensure its smooth, glaze application, drying and then another round of glaze firing to make the final ceramic product.

 

Stoneware Clay – Pottery (With Gold)

A natural and versatile material, clay is used to make gorgeous ceramic products befitting for special occasions. The clay is ‘wedged’ which is a process of preparing hundreds of balls of clay with specific weights. It is then thrown on a pottery wheel, where it is shaped by hand into this product. The clay product then goes through the process of bisque firing, sanding every product to ensure its smooth, glaze application, drying, glaze firing and the final round of firing due to the gold to make the final ceramic product.

This product is handcrafted and therefore slight variations in colours, textures and forms are inevitable and aren’t flaws.

 

CARE PROCESS

• Wash by hand only. Dry using a soft towel or tissue. Do not stack over other products.
• While stacking for storage, consider using tissue in between ceramic bowls.
• Product are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. 
• This product is not microwave-safe or dishwasher-safe. (For products with gold)
• Preferable to not stack products. However if you must, consider using tissue in between ceramic bowls.
